Russell Simmons Accuser Sherri Hines Details The Time The Music Mogul Allegedly Raped Her In His Office

Another one of Russell Simmons' accusers is sharing her story.

Sherri Hines, founding member of the first all-female DJ rap group Mercedes Ladies, stopped by Megyn Kelly Todayto detail the time the music mogul allegedly raped her in his office in 1983.

On Tuesday, Hines recounted running into Simmons at New York radio station KTU92where her friend worked at the time. She claimed Simmons invited her to see his new office, which she only agreed to because she wanted to discuss a business dispute.

When Hines got to his office, however, she claims Simmons only wanted pleasure — and allegedly grew violent in order to get it.

She remembered: 

"When I got there, he told me to sit down. Then he sat down next to me. And, it was weird, because it just happened so fast. Next thing you know, I'm being pinned down."

Hines said she was "trying to maneuver and get out of" Simmons' hold, but was unable to break free. From there, Simmons allegedly had his way with her:

"It happened so fast — next thing I know that, my pants [were] down and he was having his way… when he finished, I ran out of there and I left and I was crying and I stood at the elevator that looked like forever. I couldn't believe I was violated like that."

Hines remembered feeling especially "worthless" because Simmons knew her band's story was one of empowerment. Despite meeting Hines' mom, a single mom raising ten kids, Simmons didn't hesitate to treat her like she was a living sex doll.

The hip-hop singer added:

"I can't believe this man just violated me like I was nothing."

Simmons has defended himself from the litany of accusations coming out against him, maintaining he has "never had a sexual encounter that was not consensual or lawful."
