Gernot Rohr opens World Cup door to Obafemi Martins


The 33-year-antique has been outstanding for the Flower of Shanghai and the Super Eagles gaffer is open to welcome him again into the fold

Gernot Rohr has hinted at in-form Shanghai Shenhua forward, Obafemi Martins getting a danger to function for Nigeria at the World Cup next year.

Martins has scored sixteen goals in 39 appearances considering that he teamed up with the Chinese outfit in 2016 from Seattle Sounders.

"We have quite a few possibilities for the strikers, and so Martins, if he's scoring dreams, will be welcome."

The Super Eagles will understand their foes on the World Cup on Friday whilst the draw for Russia 2018 may be made.
